New Delhi: Innovations for Defence Excellence-Defence Innovation Organisation (iDEX-DIO) and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the Medical Innovations and Research Advancement (MIRA) initiative.
The MIRA initiative, part of the Defence India Start-up Challenge (DISC) edition, aims to develop and integrate new medical technologies for the Armed Forces. The collaboration seeks to address medical challenges by leveraging the strengths of both organizations in research and innovation. The MoU outlines a joint effort to advance medical care for service members by exploring and applying new technological solutions. This initiative is expected to focus on improving healthcare outcomes and meeting future medical needs.
The agreement was signed by iDEX-DIO CEO Anurag Bajpai and Lt Gen Daljit Singh, Director General of AFMS. iDEX has been involved in promoting innovations in the defense sector through various schemes and partnerships. The organization supports start-ups and small businesses working on defense-related technologies.
