MeitY signs MoUs with industry partners to enhance collaboration with C-DAC

Thiruvananthapuram: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has signed various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with industry leaders to enhance collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The agreements were signed at the Vellayambalam campus of C-DAC.

The details of the agreements signed are as follows:

• The MoU signed with Tata EV for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Building (V2B) grid technologies aims to promote the development, deployment, testing, and commercialization of these technologies
• The MoU signed with the Hykon group focuses on similar objectives
• Agreement with JMVLPS Limited will focus on the advancement of smart metering technologies for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
• Partnership with Larsen and Toubro aims to develop an indigenous VEGA processor-based System on Chips (SoCs)
• The MoU with Aheesa Digital Innovations will focus on enhancing cybersecurity and forensic capabilities by facilitating the testing, validation, and commercialization of C-DAC’s CDAC-Rakshak and Darpan Virtual Network System (VNS)

During the event, IAS Officer S Krishnan, Secretary of MeitY also inaugurated a Hardware Emulation Facility at the campus. The facility is designed to indigenously develop, test, and validate hardware designs in very-large-scale integration (VLSI) and SoCs. He also launched a range of Microgrids developed by Hykon Group in collaboration with C-DAC which will support the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.
