New Delhi: Shri Sivakumar V Vepakomma has been appointed as the Director (Power System) at the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), effective from August 30, 2024. Prior to this, he served as Chief General Manager at NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., where he was responsible for key areas including engineering, contracts, commercial operations, business development, and carbon trading functions. He was also the maiden CEO of the joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and IOCL Ltd.
With over 34 years of experience in the power sector, Sivakumar has expertise in Project Construction, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Commercial and Regulatory functions, Energy and Efficiency Management, and developing solutions in Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and Storage.
An engineering graduate, Sivakumar holds an MSc in Energy Systems and Environment from the University of Strathclyde, UK, where he was a British Chevening Scholar. He also completed a Post Graduate Certification Program in Project Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
