Gurugram: Tarun Bhagat, the Chief Marketing Officer at PepsiCo India Beverages, has taken on an additional role as the Lead for the Away-from-Home Channel. Bhagat, who has been with PepsiCo for over 16 years, now manages this new responsibility alongside his primary role as CMO.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Bhagat’s expanded role will focus on overseeing the Away-from-Home Channel within India’s Beverages Business Unit, a key area for PepsiCo’s growth strategy. This channel encompasses product distribution and marketing in out-of-home settings such as restaurants, cafes, and vending operations. Bhagat’s journey with PepsiCo began in May 2008 as an Assistant Brand Manager. Over the years, he climbed the ranks, culminating in his promotion to CMO in May 2023. Before joining PepsiCo, Bhagat held positions at United Breweries Ltd. as a Group Product Manager for Kingfisher and at LG Electronics for over three years.
This dual role reflects PepsiCo India’s strategy to integrate marketing with channel management to enhance its market presence across different consumer touchpoints.
