Raipur: In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government transferred nine IAS officers and three IFS officers. IAS Richa Sharma (1994 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Rights while retaining her role in the Forest Department. IAS Rajat Kumar (2005 batch) has been assigned as Secretary of Commerce and Industry after his return from central deputation.
Additionally, IAS Bheem Singh (2008 batch) has been named Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, and IAS Ankit Anand will lead the Planning, Economy, and Statistics Department with additional responsibilities in Housing and Environment.
The reshuffle also involves IFS officers Arun Prasad P, Vishwesh Kumar, and Vivek Acharay, who have been reassigned to new roles. This move is expected to improve the administration’s focus on welfare program implementation across the state.
