Patna: The Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) is set to launch GenNext Lab on October 8, 2024. The lab will be inaugurated by NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer, B.V.R. Subrahmanyam. With the aim to enhance government decision-making through advanced data and technology, the facility will primarily focus on public administration and rural development. In addition to the GenNext Lab, two other facilities—Viksit Chintan Kaksh and Nitishala—will also be unveiled.
The GenNext Lab will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics in decision-making. By processing real-time data, the lab will enable officials to predict challenges and develop practical solutions in critical areas such as rural development. The lab will also act as a learning hub, offering a variety of simulations, case studies, and best practices. This will help officials in addressing key governance challenges more effectively by learning from past experiences.
The Viksit Chintan Kaksh is designed in the form of a high-tech room where government officials can come together to discuss and plan important policies. It will promote collaboration and idea-sharing among leaders. On the other hand, Nitishala is a learning lab that gives government officers hands-on training by using simulations and real-life scenarios. This will enable officers to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Together, the GenNext Lab, Viksit Chintan Kaksh, and Nitishala are expected to transform governance training in Bihar.
