Gujarat: Bank of Baroda has upgraded the network systems across 1,600 of its branches using switches made by HFCL Limited, an Indian company, as part of its digital transformation. The upgrade aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and aims to boost the bank’s operational efficiency.
Around 3,000 switches were installed to improve LAN connectivity, providing faster and more secure networks for Bank of Baroda’s branches. These switches are integrated with the bank’s existing Network Access Controller (NAC) to enforce stricter security measures, ensuring only authorized devices can access the system.
The deployment was handled by Dynacons Systems & Solutions, which ensured that the upgrade didn’t interrupt daily operations. By partnering with local manufacturers, the bank not only improves its infrastructure but also supports India’s push toward self-reliance in tech.
This move highlights a growing trend among public sector organizations to modernize their systems using homegrown solutions, making operations smoother and more secure for customers.
