New Delhi: With an aim to educate students, parents, and teachers in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Central Square Foundation (CSF), an education non-profit, in collaboration with Google has announced the launch of AI Samarth. The initiative aims to train individuals to use AI effectively and engage actively with the present technology. More importantly, it will focus on addressing the rising need for AI awareness and promoting its responsible use.
Shaveta Sharma-Kukreja, Chief Executive Officer of CSF stated that with AI Samarth, CSF and Google plan to educate five million individuals in AI in the next four years. She also explained that AI Samarth will provide use-case-based and personalized training according to a beneficiary’s level of understanding.
In particular, the initiative has the following objectives:
to develop an AI literacy curriculum for students, parents, and teachers with the help of experts in the field.
to create an open-source high-quality content library for the beneficiaries.
to disseminate content through local implementation partners in the form of training programs and on online platforms.
to foster collaboration among key stakeholders for the sharing of best practices on AI literacy in the schooling system.
