Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the ‘Karmayogi Saptah’ – National Learning Week (NLW) on October 19 at 10:30 AM at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. This event is a part of the broader Mission Karmayogi initiative, launched in September 2020, aimed at transforming India’s civil services by fostering a future-ready workforce rooted in Indian values but with a global outlook.
The National Learning Week is poised to be the largest event of its kind, focusing on enhancing both individual and organizational capacities within the civil service. The initiative is designed to create a unified approach to governance, strengthen alignment with national objectives, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Throughout NLW, each civil servant, or ‘Karmayogi,’ is required to complete at least four hours of competency-based learning. These learning hours can be fulfilled through various methods, including individual role-based modules on the iGOT platform and webinars featuring policy masterclasses by renowned experts. Ministries and departments across the government will also conduct workshops and seminars aimed at boosting domain-specific expertise.
The event will feature eminent speakers who will share insights into their fields, helping participants refine their skills in delivering citizen-centric services more effectively. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to creating a more dynamic and capable civil service, dedicated to lifelong learning and improving governance.
