Bengaluru: Propelld, a fintech player in education loans, has appointed Manoj Shetty as its Chief Business Officer. Shetty, who has more than 25 years in the financial services sector, is set to drive Propelld’s focus on education loans for Indian students looking to study abroad, an area seeing growing interest from students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Founded in 2019 by Bibhu Prasad Das, Victor Senapaty, and Brijesh Samantaray, Propelld has carved a niche in the education lending market with options like “Study Now, Pay Later” and collateral-free loans. The company’s approach aims to make loans more accessible to a wider range of students.
With Shetty on board, Propelld plans to strengthen its partner network of over 2,000 institutions and expand its reach in education financing. Propelld’s recent Series B funding has set it on a growth path to support students and families in navigating education expenses.
