Pondicherry: The government of Puducherry has announced the transfers and fresh postings of 6 officers of the Indian Police Service belonging to the AGMUT cadre.
IPS P Sathiyasundaram (2009 batch) has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector of General (DIG) of Police wherein he will oversee law and order in the Union Territory.
Other transferred officers include:
IPS Brijendra Kumar Yadav (2010 batch) has been made DIG of the Police wherein he will focus on Armed Police and Training in Puducherry.
IPS Narra Chaitanya (2017 batch), previously the SSP of Law and Order, has been reassigned as SSP of Crime and Intelligence, in addition to serving as the Commandant of the IR battalion.
IPS R Kalaivanan (2018 batch) has been appointed as the SSP of Law and Order. He previously served as the SSP of Crime and Intelligence.
IPS MVNV Lakshmi Soujanya (2021 batch) will take charge as the SSP in Karaikal. He previously served as the SP for the East Zone.
IPS Isha Singh (2021 batch) has been now posted as the new SP of East Zone in Puducherry.
