New Delhi: The government has appointed Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer C. Venkata Subba Reddy as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a five-year tenure.
Reddy is an IPS of the 2007 batch belonging to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He previously served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
An official order from the competent authority has approved his appointment as DIG in CBI for five years from the date he assumes charge or until further notice, whichever comes first.
