Bhubaneswar: The government of Odisha has mandated the transfers and fresh postings of twelve Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers across the state.
As per the official notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, IAS Chithra Arumugam (1995 batch) has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Labour and ESI Department. She will also continue as the Principal Secretary to the Science and Technology Department. Arumugam previously served as the Special Secretary to the Planning and Convergence Department, along with an additional charge as Principal Secretary to the Science and Technology Department.
In addition, the following other officers have been transferred:
IAS Yamini Sarangi, (2008 batch), has been appointed as Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes and GST department in Odisha. She will also serve as the Special Secretary to the Finance Department. Sarangi was earlier serving as the State Project Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan.
IAS Sudhansu Mohan Samal (2010 batch) has been appointed the Managing Director of Odisha Mining Corporation Limited. Previously, he served as the Additional Secretary to the Water Resources Department.
IAS Indramani Tripathy (2011 batch) has been taken charge as the Labour Commissioner of Odisha. Tripathy was earlier working as Director, of ST, with an additional charge as Additional Secretary to the ST&SC Development Department.
IAS Trilochan Majhi (2012 batch) has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Home Department. Previously, Majhi was the Additional Secretary to the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
IAS Siddhartha Das (2012 batch), Director of Sports, has been transferred and appointed as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Odisha.
IAS Bijay Kumar Prusty (2013 batch), presently the Secretary of ORERA, has been transferred and appointed as the Director of Estates and ex-officio Additional Secretary to the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
IAS Satyabrata Rout (2013 batch) has been assigned the role of Additional Secretary to the Works Department. He had previously worked as an additional secretary in the finance department.
IAS Monica Priyadarshini (2014 batch) presently on inter-cadre deputation to Odisha, has been made the Mission Director of the Odisha Livelihoods Mission.
IAS Poma Tudu, (2012 batch) currently serving as the MD of OSMCL, with an additional charge as Commissioner of Food Safety and MD of TDCCOL, will continue as Director, ST.
IAS Deepankar Mohapatra, currently the CEO of Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha has been appointed as Director, Sports. He has been allowed to remain in additional charge of CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha.
IAS Smita Rout, presently Additional Secretary, Finance Department has been appointed as State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan. The post of State Project Director, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Joint Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.
