Hyderabad: The government of Telangana has appointed Retired IAS Officer Busani Venkateshwara Rao as the Chairman of the Telangana State Commission for Backward Classes (BCs).
Rao is an Indian Administrative Service Officer from the 1993 batch. He previously served as the Commissioner of the state’s fisheries department. As the Chairman of the Commission for BCs, he has been tasked with conducting an empirical inquiry to identify backward classes for reservation in local bodies.
