Mumbai: Firstsource has hired Vijoy Basu as its Senior Vice President and Global Head of Enterprise Data & AI. Basu, a tech industry veteran, has held several major roles, most recently as Sr. Director and Global Head of IT AI & Analytics at Cognizant, where he focused on data-driven business decisions.
Basu’s background includes extensive experience at General Electric (GE), where he worked in senior data and analytics roles across divisions like GE Digital, GE Oil & Gas, and GE Power & Water. Starting his career in software engineering, Basu has grown into a well-respected leader in enterprise data and AI. He has also served on the advisory council for Harvard Business Review and as part of the 3AI Thought Leaders Circle.
At Firstsource, Basu will lead efforts to use data and AI to boost business efficiency and innovation. His role reflects the company’s push to strengthen its tech-driven capabilities in a competitive market.
