Gandhinagar: The government of Gujarat has orchestrated a significant administrative reshuffle under which it has announced the transfers of four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers.
As per the official order, IAS Tushar Mohanlal Dholakia (2009 batch) has been appointed as the Chairman of the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar, effective immediately. He has previously served as the Director of Civil Supplies and Ex-Officio Additional Secretary in the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department. Dholakia brings extensive experience from his other diverse roles in water resources, tribal development, civil supplies, and social defense.Â
Other transferred officers are:
- IAS D P Desai (2008 batch) has been transferred from his position as Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). In addition, he will also oversee the operations of the Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA) until further notice.Â
- IAS Tushar Sumera (2012 batch) has been moved from his previous role as the Collector of Bharuch to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation, where he will assume the role of Municipal Commissioner.
- IAS Gaurang Makwana (2012 batch), presently serving as the Managing Director of the Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXT-B), has been given charge as the new Collector of Bharuch.
