Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has initiated significant changes in its bureaucratic framework to enhance the efficiency and functionality of its administrative machinery. In a recent development, two pivotal appointments have been announced, aimed at reinforcing governance and ensuring smoother operations across critical departments.
According to official orders, IAS Sreelakshmi R, a 2019 batch officer, has been designated as the State Officer (SO) to the Chief Secretary of Kerala. This strategic appointment highlights the importance of her role in assisting the Chief Secretary’s office. Sreelakshmi will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of vital administrative responsibilities and supporting decision-making processes at the highest level of state governance. Her prior experience and expertise are expected to bring a new dimension of efficiency to the Chief Secretary’s operations.
Simultaneously, IAS Chelsasini V, also from the 2019 batch, has been transferred and appointed as the Deputy Secretary – Coordination in the General Administration Department (GAD). Until now, she has been serving as the Secretary of the Cochin Corporation, where her leadership has been instrumental in driving civic administration initiatives. In her new role, Chelsasini will oversee and streamline administrative coordination within the state government, ensuring inter-departmental synergy and effective policy implementation.
These appointments reflect Kerala’s commitment to fostering a proactive and responsive bureaucracy. Both officers, with their proven track records and fresh perspectives, are anticipated to play a significant role in strengthening the state’s administrative apparatus, delivering impactful governance, and addressing the evolving needs of the public.
