During yesterday’s Q3 results call, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh addressed concerns regarding the company’s toxic work culture. During the press conference, Infosys also disclosed that it is on course to meet its FY25 employment goal of approximately 15,000 new hires.
Salil Parekh, the CEO of Infosys, was questioned on the call over the current wave of claims regarding the IT major’s declining reputation with regard to pay increases and workplace culture. Additionally, Parekh was questioned about office culture too, as most recently, Bhupendra Vishwakarma, a techie from Pune, revealed on LinkedIn that he left Infosys without receiving a new job offer for a number of reasons, including but not limited to a toxic work culture, a lack of financial growth, and an excessive workload.
Parekh was questioned about these allegations a Moneycontrol reporter at the Q3 FY25 earnings call. Bhupendra Vishwakarma, whose LinkedIn article went viral, was specifically mentioned, to which Parekh responded, “Bhupendra said a lot of things on LinkedIn, on the culture, the work culture. What are your views on that?”
“Everyone at Infosys is treated fairly. In terms of the employee question, within Infosys we have a very clear approach to make sure that everyone is treated fairly. We have a well-defined process of looking at how the performance is driven,” he replied.
“We are equal opportunity in making sure everyone gets the benefit of that. And we hold ourselves to this high standard,” the CEO of the Bengaluru-based IT giant added.
Elsewhere during the press conference, Infosys revealed that it is on track to reach its FY25 target of hiring around 15,000 freshers.
