Lucknow: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, in collaboration with Emeritus, has introduced a 9-month Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) programme aimed at addressing critical gaps in leadership development within the HR sector. The programme focuses on preparing HR professionals to align workforce strategies with business objectives in a rapidly changing organisational landscape.
Addressing Leadership Gaps in HR
With HR roles expanding due to workforce digitalisation and changing employee expectations, the programme comes as a timely initiative. According to Gartner’s Top 5 Priorities for HR Leaders in 2025 report, while 87% of HR leaders acknowledge the need for continuous transformation, only 36% believe existing leadership development programmes are sufficient.
Programme Structure and Focus Areas

-
A 4-day campus immersion for in-depth interactions and case studies.
-
A capstone project focusing on real-world HR challenges.
The programme will cover modules such as strategic HR leadership, global trends in HR, C-suite dynamics, and talent strategy, enabling participants to:
-
Develop sustainable workforce strategies.
