Bengaluru: Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur’s Foundation for Innovation & Research in Science & Technology (FIRST) to support start-ups through mentorship, resources, and technology.
Focus on Start-Up Growth
The partnership aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing start-ups at IIT Kanpur with mentorship, professional networking, and technological support. FIRST’s Start-up Innovation & Incubation Centre (SIIC) will lead the initiative, focusing on nurturing early-stage start-ups.
Tally Solutions will play an active role by offering knowledge-sharing sessions on operational and business strategies tailored for emerging entrepreneurs. Start-ups will also gain access to TallyPrime licenses and training, helping them improve operational efficiency and business scalability.
Leadership Perspectives
Commenting on the collaboration, Tejas Goenka, Managing Director of Tally Solutions, emphasized the need to provide practical tools and knowledge to help start-ups thrive. Similarly, Prof. Deepu Philip, Professor-in-Charge of SIIC, highlighted the significance of the partnership in enabling entrepreneurs to develop ideas, access mentorship, and connect with industry stakeholders.
Long-Term Vision
The MoU is set to be reviewed in two years to assess its impact and adapt to evolving start-up needs. Both parties aim to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on supporting start-ups throughout their journey—from ideation to growth.
By combining academic expertise with Tally’s technological capabilities, the partnership intends to create a collaborative environment that supports start-ups in navigating India’s competitive business landscape.
