New Delhi, May 7 (APAC Media): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on May 6 approved the appointment of four senior officers to key central government positions. IAS Saurabh Vijay (1998 batch) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
He is currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.Â
Other Key Appointments Include:Â
- IAS Manish Bhardwaj (1997 batch) who is currently serving as Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has been appointed as Adviser in the Inter-State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs.Â
- IAS Nilkanth S Avhad (1999 batch)has been appointed as Secretary of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). He will succeed Manish Bhardwaj in the post and is currently serving in the Punjab government.Â
- IAS Priyank Bharti (2001 batch) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the MeitY. He will also hold additional charge as Director General of the National Informatics Centre (NIC).Â
The latest appointments are aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative coordination in key sectors such as disaster management, digital infrastructure, and last-mile public service delivery.
