Mumbai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government has transferred several senior IAS officers to key positions across different departments. The changes announced reflect the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance and streamline administrative efficiency. Among the prominent transfers, 2012-batch IAS officer Kunal Khemnar, currently serving as the Sugar Commissioner, has been appointed as the Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). His new role at MIDC is expected to play a crucial part in driving industrial growth and infrastructure development in the state.

IAS officer Mantada Raja Dayanidhi (2014-batch), who was serving as the District Collector of Sangli, has been posted as the Joint Managing Director of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).

Replacing Dayanidhi as Sangli’s new District Collector is IAS Ashok Kakde, the Managing Director of the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Human Development Institute (SARATHI).

IAS Anmol Sagar, who was the Chief Executive Officer of Latur Zilla Parishad, has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation.
These appointments are expected to bring strategic improvements in Maharashtra’s administrative framework, ensuring better governance and public service delivery.
