New Delhi: The Union Government has made two significant appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme, reinforcing its administrative machinery in key sectors. As per the official notification, IAS Sravan Kumar Jatavath (2014 batch), from the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a tenure of four years. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued the order confirming the approval of his appointment by the competent authority. His tenure will commence from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever comes first.
In another appointment, IAS Sandeep Rawaji Rathod (2009 batch), from the Tripura cadre, has been assigned as Director in the Department of Sports, Delhi, for a period of five years. The DoPT’s order confirmed his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme. He will serve in this role from the date of taking over charge or until further directives from the government.
These appointments reflect the government’s continued focus on strengthening governance and administration across critical sectors. Both officers bring valuable experience and expertise to their new roles, contributing to the efficient functioning of their respective ministries.
