Bengaluru: In an effort to enhance employment opportunities in India, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APNA, a leading job recruitment platform. This collaboration aims to add over 10,00,000 new job openings annually to the National Career Service (NCS) Portal, further strengthening India’s domestic job market.
The government sees this partnership as a vital step toward making job searches easier for young professionals and job seekers across the country. The NCS Portal, which already connects millions of job seekers with employers, is expected to benefit significantly from the increased flow of job listings.

Expanding Reach to Metro and Non-Metro Cities
With this agreement, the government and APNA seek to provide broader employment options in both metropolitan and smaller cities. By streamlining access to job listings, the initiative will ensure that candidates from diverse backgrounds have a fair chance at securing suitable roles.
Currently, the NCS Portal boasts more than 40,00,000 registered employers and has processed around 4.40 crore job openings since its launch. At any given time, nearly 10,00,000 vacancies are available, making it one of the most reliable job-seeking platforms in the country.

Emphasis on Inclusive Hiring
One of the key objectives of this partnership is to promote equal job opportunities for all. The Ministry of Labour & Employment has stressed that women and persons with disabilities will be given the same chances as other candidates. Recruiters will be encouraged to practice fair hiring, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Seamless Integration for Better Accessibility
The integration of APNA’s listings with the NCS Portal is expected to create a more efficient and user-friendly job search experience. The government has assured that both online and offline job-seeking processes will be simplified, making it easier for candidates from different regions to apply.
Additionally, APNA will gain access to the NCS Portal’s extensive database of job seekers, allowing employers to choose from a larger talent pool. By consolidating job opportunities on a central platform, this partnership is set to help job seekers find positions that align with their skills and aspirations.
