Guwahati: The Assam Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (ABOCWWB) has inked an MoU with IIT Guwahati for a residential program on AI/ML Innovative Analyst.
ABOCWWB is a body under the Assam Government‘s Labour Welfare Department. Under this agreement, over 100 candidates from the families of registered construction workers across Assam will be trained in high-demand digital skills.
The training initiative Darsh Gurukul will be conducted at the IIT Guwahati campus and include hands-on AI/ML modules, project-based learning and interaction with faculty and industry experts.
Thr skilling will provide real-life practical experiences and provide entrepreneurship opportunities in innovative technologies.
The aim is to democratize opportunity and reach communities historically underrepresented in the IT ecosystem.
