New Delhi: Under a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Delhi administration has announced the transfers and fresh posting orders for five senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including IPS Dr Sagar Preet Hooda, of the AGMUT cadre currently serving with the Delhi Police.
As per the official notification, IPS Dr Sagar Preet Hooda (1997 batch) has been appointed Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence Division). In addition to his primary role, he will also hold additional charge of the Perception Management & Media Cell Division, as well as the Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) & the Special Police Unit for North-Eastern Region (SPUNER), the units responsible for crimes against women and children.
The list also includes the following other officers:
- IPS Atul Katiyar (1997 batch) has been made Special Commissioner of Police (Welfare). He will oversee the welfare initiatives and personnel management within the Delhi Police force.
- IPS Sanjay Kumar (1997 batch) will take charge as Special Commissioner of Police (Training), a role central to shaping the preparedness and capacity-building of Delhi Police personnel.
- IPS Mangesh Kashyap (2009 batch) has been assigned the post of additional commissioner of police (crime). His appointment to the Crime Branch comes at a time when the city police is stepping up efforts to combat organised crime and cyber offences.
- IPS Sweta Chauhan (2010 batch) has taken charge as additional commissioner of police (security). Her new role will include overseeing the security arrangements in the capital, including high-profile events and VVIP protection protocols.
These new appointments come into effect immediately and aim to strengthen key divisions across the force.
