Chandigarh: The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, has launched a Cyber Wellness Clinic aimed at improving cybersecurity awareness and skills among students, educators and law enforcement.
The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC) and is supported by cybersecurity firm Zscaler under its CSR programme.
The Cyber Wellness Clinic, located at NITTTR Chandigarh’s Sector 26 campus, is intended to serve as a learning and collaboration hub. It will host awareness sessions, hands-on training modules and certification programs designed to address real-world cyber threats.
The facility is part of the CopConnect initiative, which was previously rolled out at Punjab University in March.
The program will include:
Awareness Workshops on digital fraud, phishing, and identity theft.
Cyberange Labs-Based Training, offering practical exposure to threat simulations.
Certified Courses, with access to 26 ISAC-accredited cybersecurity certifications.
Law Enforcement Engagement, focusing on enhancing cybercrime investigation capabilities.
The clinic’s core aim is to close the existing knowledge gap between academic institutions, industry, and law enforcement agencies in responding to cybersecurity threats. While India’s digital infrastructure grows, institutions face challenges in equipping their members with adequate digital safety tools and practices.
By integrating law enforcement professionals and academic stakeholders into the program, the initiative addresses the growing need for cybercrime literacy beyond IT departments. According to NITTTR Chandigarh officials, the clinic is expected to foster cross-disciplinary understanding of evolving cyber risks.
