New Delhi: In a significant step toward enhancing employment opportunities and empowering the youth, NBCC (India) Limited and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a Multi-Skill Training Institute & Model Career Centre in Delhi.
- Industry-Relevant Skill Development
The MoU was formalised in the presence of NBCC’s Chairman and Managing Director, Functional Directors, and senior officials from both organisations. The initiative aims to bridge the skill gap by offering industry-relevant training programs and structured career guidance to aspiring professionals.
- Model Career Centre for Job Readiness
The proposed centre will serve as a hub for multi-skill training and career counselling, aimed at improving job readiness and placement support. This initiative marks a vital step in building a stronger, more skilled Indian workforce.
- Leveraging Infrastructure and Expertise
NBCC, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is known for its contributions to infrastructure development across the country. Its operational areas include project management consultancy (PMC), engineering, procurement & construction (EPC), and real estate development.
CII, established in 1895, is one of India’s premier industry bodies with a strong national and international footprint. With 70 offices across India and 12 centers of excellence, CII is renowned for its efforts in policy advocacy, innovation, and skill-building across sectors.
