Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has announced another significant bureaucratic reshuffle involving six IAS officers, including IAS Dinesh Kumar from the 2012 batch.
The move is aimed at boosting administrative efficiency, streamlining governance, and deploying experienced officers in strategic positions across departments and districts.
According to the official notification from the state government, IAS Dinesh Kumar has been appointed Special Secretary, Home Department. His new responsibilities will include internal security management, law and order oversight, and policy formulation for the Home Department.
Other notable transfers include:
- IAS Avinash Singh (2009 batch) has been given an additional charge as Secretary, Technical Education Department, while continuing in his existing role. In this new capacity, he will focus on strengthening the state’s technical education system and overseeing the implementation of key skill development schemes.
- IAS Brijraj Singh Yadav (2012 batch) has been posted as Additional Land Arrangements Commissioner, Revenue Council, Lucknow. He will handle crucial matters such as land acquisition, revenue disputes, and land records management—core components in the state’s infrastructure push.
- IAS Vinod Kumar has been appointed Municipal Commissioner, Aligarh, and will be in charge of urban administration, municipal services, and implementation of civic infrastructure projects in the city.
- IAS Prem Prakash Meena (2018 batch), previously the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Unnao, has also been posted as Municipal Commissioner, Aligarh. With experience in both rural and urban sectors, he is expected to enhance urban governance with a development-focused approach.
- IAS Krati Raj (2020 batch) has been transferred from Joint Magistrate, Firozabad, to become the Chief Development Officer, Unnao. His new role will involve spearheading rural development programs, welfare scheme implementation, and district-level administrative reforms.
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s effort to strategically position officers based on experience and emerging governance priorities.
