Bengaluru: As part of a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Karnataka government has issued transfer and posting orders for 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including IAS Amlan Aditya Biswas.Â
As per the government notification, IAS Amlan Aditya Biswas (1997 batch) has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department. He previously served as the Special Officer and Competent Authority at IMA Bengaluru.
The list of other transfers includes:
- IAS Naveen Raj Singh (1998 batch), presently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Housing Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary of the Youth Empowerment & Sports Department.
- IAS V. Anbukkumar (2004 batch), currently the Managing Director of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), has now been appointed Secretary of the Housing Department.
- IAS Sameer Shukla (2006 batch) has been moved to the Commerce & Industries Department, spearheading the MSME and Mines department.
- IAS Randeep D (2006 batch), presently the Secretary of Youth Empowerment & Sports, has become Secretary of the Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.
- IAS Ramandeep Chowdhary (2008 batch), previously the Secretary of the Karnataka Public Service Commission, has been shifted to the Planning, Programme Monitoring, and Statistics Department.
- IAS Pommala Sunil Kumar (2011 batch), presently the Commissioner of Revenue, will also hold the additional charge of Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru.
- IAS Ramachandran R (2012 batch), currently the Managing Director of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation, will additionally oversee the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
- IAS Dayananda KA (2012 batch), currently the Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Karnataka Housing Board.
- IAS Ibrahim Maigur (2017 batch), currently the Secretary of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), has now been posted as Director (IT) of KSRTC.
These changes are expected to strengthen administrative efficiency across key departments of the state, including Public Works, Housing, Youth Empowerment, and Transport.
