New Delhi: In a landmark step toward digital transformation, Indian Railways has unveiled ‘RailOne,’ a unified mobile application designed to provide a single-window platform for all railway-related services.
The app was officially launched by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during the 40th Foundation Day celebrations of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
A Unified Digital Experience
Developed by CRIS, RailOne consolidates services that were previously spread across multiple apps, such as IRCTC Rail Connect, UTSonMobile, Rail Madad, and NTES. The app aims to enhance passenger convenience by offering an all-in-one solution with a clutter-free, user-friendly interface.
Key features include
- Reserved ticket booking via IRCTC integration
- Unreserved and platform ticket booking with a 3% discount
- Real-time train tracking, PNR status, and coach position
- Grievance redressal through the Rail Madad system
- R-Wallet integration for seamless cashless transactions
- E-catering, porter, and last-mile taxi booking
- Biometric and mPIN login, with guest access
- Single Sign-On (SSO) using IRCTC or UTS credentials
The app’s lightweight design reduces storage consumption and simplifies navigation, especially for first-time users.
Seamless Ticketing with IRCTC Integration
While RailOne brings various services under one roof, IRCTC will continue to manage all reserved ticket bookings. Its commercial API has been integrated into the app, ensuring secure and direct bookings without redirecting users to separate platforms. This setup preserves IRCTC’s role while enhancing user convenience.
Towards a Digitally Empowered Rail Network
RailOne marks a significant move under the broader vision of Viksit Bharat and Digital India. It showcases Indian Railways’ commitment to leveraging technology to democratize access, enhance mobility, and deliver world-class service standards.
