Kolkata: ITC Ltd. has received the occupancy certificate from the West Bengal government for the world-class IT services center in New Town.
The company is spending Rs 1200 crore on this center that is being built on 17 acres of land. It will provide employment to a workforce of 5000. This center is coming up at the NKDA New Town Action Area 3, where the land was allocated by HIDCO.
The ITC campus, spread over 14.5 lakh sq. ft., will consist of three important buildings. These include a high-rise office tower, a business services center, and a dedicated knowledge center.  Â
This initiative by ITC will be another milestone in West Bengal’s IT roadmap, feels CM Mamata Banerjee.
Only last week, NKDA granted permission to TCS to set up an IT center on 20 acres of land. It will create employment for a 25,000-person workforce.
