New Delhi: SJVN Limited has announced the appointment of Sipan Kumar Garg as the Director (Finance) of the company.
The appointment has been made by an order issued by the Ministry of Power. Garg, currently serving as Director (Finance) at Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC) Ltd., has been entrusted with this new responsibility as an additional charge for a period of three months or until a full-time appointment is made, whichever is earlier. He succeeds Rajendra Prasad Goyal, who held the additional charge until June 30.
Garg is an experienced finance professional with more than two decades of experience in the power sector. He holds multiple professional qualifications, including Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), and Company Secretary (CS), along with a degree in Law.
Before joining THDC, Garg served in various leadership roles at NTPC Limited and its group companies, including as CFO of Aravali Power Company Pvt Ltd and Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. He contributed significantly in different fields at NTPC, such as corporate finance, strategic accounting, and project finance, during his tenure at the Koldam Hydro Power Project
