New Delhi: Goutam Deb has assumed charge as the Regional Executive Director (North) of NTPC’s Northern Region.Â
In this key leadership role, he will oversee all NTPC operations and projects across Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, as well as the Northern Region Headquarters in Lucknow. In addition, he will also serve as Executive Director (Project Monitoring), and oversee project monitoring activities for all NTPC thermal power stations across India.
Deb joined NTPC in 1988 as an Engineering Executive Trainee after earning a degree in mechanical engineering from North Bengal University. He also holds an M.Tech in Industrial Management from IIT Kharagpur and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from MDI, Gurgaon. Throughout his 37-year tenure at NTPC, he has held several critical positions across mechanical maintenance, project construction, and operations.Â
Deb has worked at multiple NTPC sites, including Dadri, Farakka, Kahalgaon, Unchahar, Patratu, Talcher Thermal, and HURL, Barauni. He has also served as Regional Executive Director (Hydro) and Business Unit Head at HURL, Barauni, and Head of Project at Talcher Thermal.
Deb’s deep domain expertise and visionary leadership are expected to support NTPC Northern Region in achieving new milestones.
