New Delhi, October 14 (APAC Media): NMDC Limited has appointed Vinod Kumar Tripathi, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, as Government Director on its Board of Directors, with effect from October 12, 2026.
The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, on October 12.
Tripathi replaces Abhijit Narendra, former Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, who has ceased to be Government Director on the NMDC board.
Vinod Kumar Tripathi’s Profile
Tripathi belongs to the 1994 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
He has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Railways and has experience in administration, management, engineering, public sector enterprise management, public policy, project execution, operations, procurement and human resource management.
He has also served as Executive Director in the Railway Land Development Authority. Tripathi is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.
His appointment as Government Director on the NMDC board will remain effective until further orders or as otherwise specified in the government order.
