New Delhi: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025, released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has spotlighted the top institutions driving excellence in pharmacy education, research, and innovation.Â
The rankings are based on parameters such as teaching, learning, resources, research productivity, professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach, and perception.
Among the top 10 pharmacy educational institutions of India, Jamia Hamdard in New Delhi has retained its No. 1 position with a score of 86.59, while private institutions like Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani have climbed up the rankings. South India has emerged as a strong contender, with institutions from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana securing several top spots.

- Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Udupi, Karnataka
- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali, Punjab
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
The rankings highlight India’s growing strength in pharmaceutical education and its focus on research and innovation to meet global healthcare demands.
