Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha Government has reshuffled several senior IAS officers across key departments to strengthen governance and improve service delivery. According to the official notification, IAS Thirumala Naik N. (2009 batch) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School & Mass Education Department
Other key transfers include
- IAS Girish S.N. (2002 batch) – Will hold the additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Mission Shakti Department, alongside Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water.
- IAS Mansi Nimbhal (2010 batch) – Managing Director, Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation, continuing as Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department.
- IAS Surendra Kumar Meena (2012 batch) – Appointed Additional Secretary, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.
- IAS Subhashree Nanda (2013 batch) – Made Additional Secretary, Planning & Convergence Department.
- IAS Chanchal Rana (2014 batch) – Will continue as Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, with additional roles as Vice-Chairman, BDA, and MD, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd.
- IAS Premjit Nayak (2014 batch) – Made Director, Scheduled Tribes.
- IAS Deepankar Mohapatra (IAS 2014) – Appointed Director, Tourism, while retaining the role of MD, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation.
- IAS Pranati Chhotray (2014 batch) – Appointed Additional Secretary, Home Department.
- IAS Nivedita Prusty (2015 batch) – Made MD, Boyanika, with additional charge as Director, Handicrafts.
- IAS Madhusmita Samal (IAS 2015) – Made Additional Secretary, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department and Director, State Institute of Rural Development.
- IAS Sanjay Kumar Biswal (2015 batch) – Named Additional Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department.
The reshuffle reflects the state’s intention to inject fresh energy into critical sectors, including education, tourism, rural development, and tribal welfare.
