Chandigarh: The Haryana government has approved the promotion of two IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). As per the official order, IPS Alok Mittal has been promoted to the position of DGP, Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Mittal previously served as the ADGP in the same department.
Simultaneously, IPS Arshinder Singh Chawla has also been promoted to the DGP rank. He currently serves as the Director of the Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban (Karnal).
These transfers aim to strengthen the policing efforts in the important departments by appointing experienced officers in senior positions.
