Hyderabad: The Telangana government assigned IAS D. Krishna Bhaskar (2012 batch) the full additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Hyderabad.
The decision follows the completion of N. Balram’s (IRS-C&IT) extended deputation tenure in the state on December 4, 2025.
Krishna Bhaskar is currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director of the Transmission Corporation of Telangana (TRANSCO). He has now been entrusted with the additional responsibility of heading SCCL until further orders. He also holds the position of Special Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Krishna Bhaskar has held several senior roles in the Telangana administration. He has previously served as District Collector of Rajanna Sircilla and Siddipet districts. Currently leading Telangana Transco, he brings strong administrative and operational experience, which is expected to support efficient functioning and strategic direction at SCCL.
The transition comes at an important time for SCCL, which plays a key role in coal production and energy supply for Telangana and other states. The government has expressed confidence that Krishna Bhaskar’s administrative experience will ensure continuity and stable operations at the company.
