New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has strengthened digital pension services for its retirees through SAMPANN, an integrated online system designed to streamline pension management and disbursement.
The platform serves as a single window for processing, sanctioning and crediting pensions directly into pensioners’ bank accounts.
SAMPANN also provides facilities such as online grievance redressal, digital profile management and access to transaction records, improving transparency and efficiency for telecom pensioners.
The system reduces paperwork and manual intervention, aligning with the government’s push towards technology-driven public service delivery.
In a further step towards paperless governance, key pension-related documents have now been integrated with DigiLocker.
Pensioners can securely access documents such as Gratuity Payment Orders, Pension Certificates or electronic Pension Payment Orders (ePPOs), Pension Commutation Payment Orders and Form 16 through the platform.
This allows retirees to store and retrieve official records anytime and from anywhere, while ensuring authenticity and long-term digital preservation.
