Bhopal: In the aftermath of the contaminated water crisis in Indore that claimed several lives, the Madhya Pradesh government has appointed three new IAS officers as Additional Commissioners in the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), while shifting one officer to the state secretariat. IAS Akash Singh (2019 batch) has been posted as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Indore.
Singh was earlier serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Panchayat, Khargone.
The list of other appointments includes
IAS Rohit Sisonia (2017 batch) has been transferred from Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Indore, to Deputy Secretary in the Department of Farmers Welfare and Agricultural Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
IAS Prakash Singh (2020 batch) has been appointed Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Indore, after serving as CEO of the District Panchayat, Alirajpur.
IAS Ashish Kumar Pathak (2020 batch) has been transferred from Deputy Transport Commissioner, Indore, to Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Indore.
The induction of new officers into the IMC is aimed at improving governance, restoring public confidence, and ensuring better monitoring of essential civic services, particularly water supply, in the city.
