Bhubhaneswar: The Odisha government has carried out a major reshuffle at the senior IAS level, appointing new officers to key administrative and departmental posts. IAS Deoranjan Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new Development Commissioner of Odisha.
Singh is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Along with the Development Commissioner post, he has been given charge of the Planning and Convergence Department. Singh will also continue to hold additional charge of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, as well as Member, Board of Revenue and Special Relief Commissioner.
The list of other key appointments includes
IAS Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department and also holding charge of the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, has been appointed as Member, Board of Revenue.
IAS Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, with additional charge of Information and Public Relations Department and Chairman of IPICOL, has been given additional charge of the Home Department.
IAS Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Cooperation Department, has been appointed as Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director of the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority. He will continue as Chairman of the Odisha State Warehousing Corporation and Special Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department.
IAS Shubha Sarma, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, has been given additional charge of the Water Resources Department.
IAS Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, Principal Secretary, Excise Department, has been given additional charge of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department. He also continues as CMD of OPTCL and Chairman of OSBCL.
IAS Madhumita Rath, Additional Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, has been appointed Collector of Nayagarh district.
IAS Akshay Sunil Agrawal, former Nayagarh Collector, has been posted as Collector of the Gajapati district.
