Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has granted the designation of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to several senior Indian Administrative Service officers from the 1995 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. The promotions carry a fixed pay scale of Rs 2,25,000 under Pay Matrix Level 17, as amended by the Seventh Pay Commission, effective from the date the officers assume charge. The promotees include IAS Sanjay Prasad, currently the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.Â
The following other officers have been promoted and designated as Additional Chief Secretary:
- IAS Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited
- IAS Amrit Abhijat, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture, and Charitable Works
- IAS R. Ramesh Kumar, Member, Board of Revenue
- IAS Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries
Proforma Promotions for Officers on Central Deputation
The state government has also approved proforma promotions for IAS officers of the same batch who are currently serving with the Government of India on deputation. These promotions will also be in the fixed pay scale of Rs 2,25,000 at Level 17, effective from the date of assuming charge:
- IAS Bhuwnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and CEO, UIDAI
- IAS Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan, Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India
- IAS Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chairman, National Highways Authority of India
The move ensures parity in career progression for officers serving both at the state and central levels, while recognising their seniority and administrative experience.
