Jodhpur: FUJIFILM India Private Limited has inaugurated its endoscopy manufacturing facility in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The facility signals a strategic expansion of the company’s healthcare manufacturing footprint and aims to strengthen India’s position in advanced diagnostic imaging technologies.
Dignitaries Present at the Launch
The inauguration was attended by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, and Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Rajasthan’s Cabinet Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare. Senior leadership from Fujifilm, including Haruto Iwata, Managing Director, FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., and Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, were present along with representatives from the healthcare sector and government institutions.
Strengthening Local Healthcare Manufacturing
The expansion aligns with Fujifilm’s global quality benchmarks and Japanese manufacturing standards. The company stated that the facility integrates advanced production processes, precision-driven practices, and robust quality systems to deliver high-performance medical equipment.
Under India’s localisation framework, the plant will manufacture advanced endoscopy systems to address the rising demand for accurate and efficient diagnostic procedures. These systems feature LED light sources that control multi-coloured illumination and advanced image processing technologies to enhance clinical clarity.
Key features include Blue Light Imaging, which improves visualisation of fine blood vessels and mucosal microstructures, and Linked Colour Imaging, which highlights subtle colour differences to support physicians during examinations.
Expanding Regional Footprint
Fujifilm plans to progressively expand its Made in India portfolio and explore supply opportunities for neighbouring markets. The move is expected to position India as a regional manufacturing and supply base within Fujifilm’s global healthcare network.
With this development, FUJIFILM India aims to deepen its contribution to healthcare technology localisation and support the shared vision between India and Japan for reliable and future-ready diagnostic solutions.
