Mumbai: Adani Group has announced plans to develop 30 hospitals across India as part of a Rs. 60,000 crore social investment program, with a strong focus on expanding healthcare infrastructure nationwide.
The announcement was made by Karan Adani at a leadership summit in New Delhi. He outlined the group’s long-term strategy to improve access to advanced medical services through phased infrastructure development over the next decade.
The hospitals will be set up across multiple regions, aiming to address persistent gaps in access to quality healthcare, especially in areas where advanced medical facilities are limited. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance capacity for specialized treatment and strengthen healthcare delivery systems over time.
This investment forms part of a broader philanthropic commitment announced by Gautam Adani in 2022. While the larger program includes education initiatives, healthcare remains a key pillar of the group’s social development strategy. The initiative will also build on the work of the Adani Foundation, which has been active in community healthcare for nearly three decades. Its efforts have included medical camps, primary healthcare support, and health awareness programs in underserved regions.
The planned expansion marks a significant step toward strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem.
