Dispur: The Government of Assam has appointed IAS Partha Pratim Majumdar as the District Commissioner of Bajali.Â
Majumdar is a 2010-batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service belonging to the Assam–Meghalaya cadre.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Home and Political Department and the Women and Child Development Department. He also held the roles of State Coordinator for the National Register of Citizens in Assam and Chief Executive Officer of the e-FT Project.
With an LL.B. and M.Sc. degree, Majumdar has held several key administrative positions in the state government. He brings extensive experience to his new role.
