Chandigarh: In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Government of Punjab has appointed senior IAS Kamal Kishor Yadav as the Secretary of the General Administration and Coordination Department.Â
Yadav replaces IAS Gauri Parasher Joshi in the role.
A 2003-batch officer, Yadav has held several key administrative positions in the state government over the years. He was awaiting posting before this appointment.
Previously, Yadav served as administrative secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department. In addition, he held the charge of Administrative Secretary for Investment Promotion as well as the Promotion of the Information Technology Industry.
Yadav has also served in other important assignments across departments, including Chairman of the Punjab School Education Board, Taxation Commissioner of Punjab, Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh, and Commissioner-cum-Director of the Information and Public Relations Department in Punjab.
The reshuffle is part of the government’s effort to strengthen administrative coordination and improve governance in the state.
