New Delhi, May 20 (APAC Media): The Delhi government has launched “Hausalon ki Udaan,” a citywide talent hunt scheme to identify and support young talent throughout the national capital.
This initiative is designed to give young artists and performers, aged between 16 and 35 years, a chance to display their talent and creativity in different areas.
As part of the initiative, the government will set up an online platform where people can sign up for free and share videos of their talents. A panel of judges will then choose the best candidates to move on to the next step of the competition.
To make it easier for people to join, 35 audition locations will be established across Delhi, with centres placed in local communities. Winners will be chosen based on their performance during these auditions.
The competition will include seven categories: singing, dancing, theatre, instrumental music, music composition, digital art, and fine arts. Cash prizes will be given to the winners in each category. The first prize is Rs. 2.5 lakh, followed by Rs. 2 lakh for second place, Rs. 1.5 lakh for third place, and Rs. 1 lakh for fourth place.
The government has also mentioned that the program will take place in all 70 assembly constituencies and is expected to involve more than 25,000 young people. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that “the initiative aims to foster creativity in the city and encourage youth to create opportunities through their talent and artistic skills.”
