New Delhi, May 14 (APAC Media): In a major move to strengthen India’s logistics and transportation sector, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.
The partnership aims to encourage research, innovation, technology adoption and skill development in areas such as supply chain management, logistics and warehousing.
MoU Signed in Presence of DFCCIL MD Praveen Kumar
The agreement was signed in the presence of Praveen Kumar, Managing Director of DFCCIL. The MoU was signed by Shobhit Bhatnagar and Tamma Koti Reddy.
Key Areas of Collaboration
Under the partnership, DFCCIL and IFHE will work together in several important areas, including:
- Research and innovation in logistics and transportation
- Studies related to supply chain management and warehousing
- Technology integration in freight operations
- Skill development and executive education
- Industry-academia collaboration
- Technical workshops and knowledge-sharing programmes
Focus on Modern Technologies
IFHE was chosen for the collaboration because of its strong research and technology ecosystem. The institution works in advanced areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Robotics
- Data Analytics
- Vehicle Dynamics
- Industrial Automation
As part of the agreement, specialised training and capacity-building programmes will also be introduced for DFCCIL personnel, like professional courses, executive training programmes, and technical upskilling modules.
Overall, the MoU combines DFCCIL’s operational experience and ICFAI’s academic expertise. This will strengthen India’s logistics research ecosystem, promote innovation in railway and freight operations, and support the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
