Ladakh, May 27 (APAC Media): IAS Tushar Anand has been given additional charge as Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) in the office of the Divisional Commissioner and Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department, in Ladakh.
The appointment was announced through an order issued by the General Administration Department of the Union Territory administration with immediate effect.
Additional Responsibility Assigned
An officer of the 2012 batch of the AGMUT Cadre, Anand is currently serving as Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), Ladakh. He will continue to hold his current responsibilities, overseeing healthcare programmes and implementation of health initiatives across the Union Territory.
Officials stated that the additional assignment reflects the administration’s confidence in his administrative experience and leadership capabilities, especially at a time when inter departmental coordination remains at the centre of governance in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
As Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters), Anand will be associated with the functioning of the Divisional Commissioner’s office as well as the Revenue Department, both of which play a key role in matters related to land administration, revenue management, and district-level coordination.
Continuing Responsibilities in NHM Ladakh
The National Health Mission remains particularly significant in Ladakh due to the region’s difficult terrain, scattered population, and unique healthcare challenges.
Officials confirmed that the additional charge has come into effect immediately and will remain in force until further instructions are issued by the administration.
